What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese stress-relieving and relaxing practice that also aids healing. It is given through "laying on hands" and is based on the belief that we are alive because of an unseen "life force energy" that flows through us. We are more likely to get sick or feel stressed if our "life force energy" is low, and we are more capable of being happy and healthy if it is high.

Reiki is a Japanese word that combines two Japanese words: Rei, which means "God's Wisdom or Higher Power," and Ki, which means "life force energy." Reiki is "spiritually guided life force energy," as the name implies.

A treatment feels like a warm glow that sweeps through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person, including the body, emotions, mind, and spirit, resulting in various positive benefits such as relaxation and feelings of safety, security, and well-being. Many people have claimed to have had miraculous results.

Reiki is a straightforward, natural, and risk-free spiritual healing and self-improvement technique that everyone can utilize. It effectively treats practically every known ailment and sickness, and it always has a positive outcome. It also acts in tandem with all other medical or therapeutic approaches to alleviate adverse effects and enhance healing.

The capacity to apply Reiki is not taught in the traditional sense but instead imparted to the student during a Reiki lesson. This capacity is passed on through a Reiki master's "attunement," which allows the pupil to tap into an endless stream of "life force energy" to improve one's health and quality of life.

One's intellectual or spiritual growth does not limit its use, and it is thus accessible to anyone. Thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds have learned it effectively.

Reiki is not a religion

Reiki is a spiritual practice, yet it is not a religion. It has no ideology, and you don't have to believe anything to study and utilize Reiki. Reiki is not belief-dependent and will work whether you believe in it. Many individuals find that practising it allows them to connect more deeply with their religion's experience rather than just having an intellectual understanding.

While Reiki is not a religion, living and acting to foster harmony with others is still crucial. The founder of the teachings, Mikao Usui advised that people follow a few simple ethical standards to promote peace and harmony, practically universal throughout cultures.

Mikao Usui chose to add the Reiki Principles to the practice of Reiki during a meditation several years after establishing it. The Ideals were inspired in part by the five principles of Japan's Meiji Emperor, whom Mikao Usui adored. The Ideals were created to help Usui Reiki achieve spiritual harmony. Their goal is to assist people to understand that part of the Reiki healing experience is to heal the spirit by intentionally opting to improve oneself. The client must accept responsibility for their healing and participate actively to have long-term effects for the Reiki healing energies. As a result, the Usui Reiki method encompasses more than only the application of Reiki energy. To be a complete system, it must also contain an active commitment to self-improvement. The principles serve as guidance for living a gracious life and qualities worth doing because of their intrinsic worth.
