What are crystals?
Crystals are minerals that are made up of three-dimensional repeating patterns of atoms that develop underground. A crystal's appearance depends on its type's natural properties and the conditions in which it grows.
Programming and cleansing crystals
Crystals are thought to have a memory due to their repeating chemical structure. This implies that crystals can store energy. Holding a quartz crystal to fill it with love is a good idea. This is what I mean by programming a crystal. There are no cables or unique connections with God required; all required is intention and focus. Your love will be remembered by the crystal, which will thereafter pervade whatever setting in which it is put. Crystals can reflect both negative and positive energy. Therefore they will need to be cleansed from time to time. For example, amethyst can help clean a room of negative energies (such as rage), but the amethyst will need to be cleansed from time to time because it will retain some of that negative energy.
Crystals can be cleaned in a variety of methods. One of the most typical methods is to soak them in salt water, then rinse them under the tap to remove the salt. Other options include burying crystals in the garden for a few days, leaving them in a slow-running stream or leaving them outside overnight in ordinary water to soak up the moonlight.
What qualities do particular stones have?
The energy characteristics of many stones vary. Some crystals might benefit people seeking clarity, while others are supposed to help us extend our consciousness and tune into our intuition. Rose Quartz is a calming stone that is also known as the stone of gentle affection. Some people believe that a crystal with a fresh, energetic, citrus sensation can add zest and optimism, thus decreasing depression.
Anyone can interpret the immediate qualities of a stone with a bit of practice and intuition. Red, for example, is the colour of movement, and red rocks can revitalise and enliven the body in the same way that blood does. Quartz, a white or clear stone, can help you see more clearly. Purple stones are thought to help in transformation and change. Please read and understand the definitions in books, but keep in mind that you must establish your own opinions.
A crystal's form can also influence its properties. Some people will evaluate the number of aspects and derive additional meanings from numerology, assigning meanings to numbers. The following is a list of the most common shapes:
Wands with a single end
One end has a single point, while the other has a rough or rounded edge. They're commonly used for healing, cleansing, meditation, and as jewellery.
Chunks are crystals that don't have many facets. They can be used to enhance the ambience of a space, to hold while meditation, or to carry in your pocket.
Clusters are made up of a collection of tiny crystals that have formed together organically. Clusters can be a great way to brighten up a room or a workspace. They can cleanse, energize, or relax an environment depending on their qualities.
Crystals that have been cut
Cut crystals are crystals that have been shaped and polished into shapes like pyramids, wands, or spheres, which can be pretty appealing. The energy of the stone can be maintained and perhaps magnified if they are well-cut.
Tumblestones are small stones, boulders, or crystals that have been tumbled over and over with finer abrasive until the sides are smooth and lustrous. Many individuals like to have a crystal tumblestone in their pocket to carry the stone's energy with them throughout the day.
There are many gorgeous crystals to be found, but none that compel you to purchase them. As with all purchases related to spiritual progress, timing is critical. If you buy crystals solely to fulfil a goal, your crystals may be meaningless, and you are essentially developing a rock collection. There's nothing wrong with collecting rocks. However, the focus here is on magically using crystals.
What factors should I consider before selecting a crystal?
It is not necessary to know the particular qualities of each stone to purchase one, though it may be helpful. It's more vital to be open-minded and allow yourself to be drawn to a stone that has significance for you. If you're in a store, stand in front of a group of crystals, close your eyes, and relax, then choose the one you're most drawn to when you open them.
Because you can't touch a crystal when buying it on the internet, you'll have to rely on your instincts. Look over the photographs of the various crystals and make a note of which part appeals to you the most. Take your time to look through that part. If you want that crystal to be a part of your life, it likely has something to offer you on some level. For example, you might be drawn to a rose quartz crystal because you're looking for something to help you build self-love.
Crystals for healing
Various crystals have different energies and qualities, and the interactions between them can impact our mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. Simply by holding the correct crystal at the right time, we can improve our mood and well-being. You don't have to check up on the definition every time you do something. You may collect a variety of crystals over time; grab the one that appeals to you.
The energy held by a crystal can impact you whether you merely hold it in your hand or lay it next to your bed or on the mantelpiece. In the healing procedure, crystal healers apply their understanding of the stones and the patient. There are several ways to heal with crystals, including laying crystals on and around a person while lying down or focusing love, energy, and intent on the other person in a way that is appropriate to their disease and requirements using a wand.
Will the wrong crystal injure me?
In the wrong hands, a crystal, like many other magical tools, can cause harm. A crystal healer's only tool is a crystal. Like a great paintbrush does not make a great painter, a magnificent crystal does not make a great crystal healer. If you're seeking a crystal healer, you should be cautious.
You should strive to purchase crystals from a reputable source, and after you have them, you should cleanse them (as described above) of any negative energy they may have absorbed. You can't go wrong if you trust your instincts. It may be time to give away a crystal if you feel it no longer belongs in your home. As your needs change, you may choose to surround yourself with different gems, though many will happily stay with you for a long time.
